Hand specialists have received additional specialized training in the treatment of hand problems beyond their board certified specialty training in orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, or general surgery. Hand specialists also have expertise with problems of the elbow, arm, and shoulder.

Dr. S. Andrei Ostric is board certified by both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Association of Hand Surgery.

After earning his degree in Psychology from Knox College in Illinois, Dr. Ostric received his medical degree and did residencies in general surgery, plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery at Rush Medical College in Chicago. From there, he completed a Hand and Microvascular Fellowship at Southern Illinois University. Dr. Ostric focuses on his expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgeries on injuries and disorders of the hand. He and his family reside on the lakeshore.

Kristin is an occupational therapist.

Kristin has been an Occupational Therapist since 2008. She received her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences and Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Baker College of Flint and Center for Graduate Studies. Kristin’s primary goal is to get her patients back to independence within their daily lives. When not seeing patients Kristin enjoys snowmobiling and golfing with her husband.
